About Me

A designer, product thinker, marketer, organizer, startupper, adventurer, cultural explorer, amateur meteoriologist, and entrepreneur. I like to be near the water and make things that make people happy.

Graduated with a degree in Political Science, started and operated a non-profit, ran a digital consultancy, was a community manager, worked with and advised several startups, and helped to start and co-organize a community movement. I am 26 years old.

I have just moved to Seattle and am looking to join a startup team to continue learning while contributing to the growth of an awesome company. Interested in things that involve design and front end work, product, marketing and strategy, community management, and delighting users.

Email me using my url minus the .com at gmail.

Useful Skills:

User Experience, with a preference for simplicity ( xhtml, css, inkscape, gimp, borrwed javascript, copy, usability, information architecture, ecommerce, most content management systems, have also interfaced with ruby/rails and python/django)

Organizing: Community (Online and Off),  Evangelism and Marketing (less like Billy Mays, more like Hugh McCleod, 37signals, and Seth Godin).

Ideas: More than I have time to work on, I’m especially good at developing and revamping business models.  Rapid innovation and prototyping.  Especially fond ecommerce and more specifically bringing human awesomeness to it.

Research and Learning: Able to put myself into someone else’s shoes at rapid speed and offer feedback, able to learn things very quickly.
